Inaugural Labatt Blue USAdult Pond Hockey Championships a success

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The first-annual Labatt Blue USAdult Pond Hockey Championship came to a close last weekend in Eagle River, Wis., which played host to 40 teams and 240 players from 11 different states. After three days of competition on Dollar Lake, champions of four divisions were crowned.

The Windy City Ice Hogs (Chicago, Ill.) captured the 30 & Over division. Ford (Detroit, Mich.) took home the 40 & Over championship. SNH (Canton, Mich.) took home the Bronze division championship, and Dirty Jersey (Highland Lakes, N.J.) captured the Silver division championship.

The event also featured a skills challenge event, Labatt Blue-sponsored gatherings and guest speakers including former NHL great Rene Robert and 1984 U.S. Olympic Head Coach Lou Vairo.
